Bed Bug Treatment Services and Types of Treatment Options
We receive calls everyday from folks dealing with one of the worst pests you can have infest a dwelling, bedbugs. In Broken Arrow alone our call volume has more than doubled over the last two years. This call volume extends into the Jenks, Bixby, Coweta and Tulsa area. No home is free from getting these pests. Bed Bugs are parasitic and feed on human and other animal blood. They relay on blood meals to grow and lay eggs. One of the most common things I hear in a bed bug phone calls is that the person has been treating with foggers, dusts and a number of other products for weeks. Sometimes they have already spent $300-$500 on chemicals but still have bed bugs. Why is it that these foggers and other products are not working? Well, for the most part these pests are experts at hiding. It is very rare for an individual without proper training and expertise to clear a home of bed bugs. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just rare to have success.
Bedbugs can quickly build a resistance to chemical products and in many cases using a fogger just makes matters worse. We do not use foggers in any way when dealing with bedbugs. Typically a bedbug infestation can be dealt with in a number of way's but some of the methods used to treat are not very efficient. For instance, freezing can work but you need super cold temperatures below zero for a long duration of time. Our temperatures here in Oklahoma do not tend to get cold enough and who can stay in a home for day's at below zero temperatures!
Another method is steam but imagine trying to steam an entire house. The steam temperature must be higher than most store bought steamers can go and this really is only feasible for spot treatments. It's likely not going to solve or eradicate a bedbug infestation, bed bugs can be anywhere and everywhere.
Another method is the chemical treatment. Chemicals do work if done properly but it can take numerous treatments these day's due to the high numbers of bedbugs that are now chemical resistant. a light infestation may only need one or two treatments but a bigger bed bug infestation could need numerous services. In many cases a series of chemical treatments can cost more than doing a heat treatment.
Heat is likely the most effective and efficient means of treating bedbugs. The nice thing about heat is bedbugs cannot survive the temperatures used doing the treatment process and unlike cold which takes day's, heat only takes hours. Literally you can have the dwelling heat treated and stay the night in the dwelling where with just chemical treatments you may need to stay out of the home as most everything gets wet. Heat also kills bed bug eggs! In most cases we at EnviroTech put down a chemical barrier after our heat process is complete. The reason for doing this is to help minimize the chances of the customer reintroducing these pests into the home. After all, you got them from somewhere and they are just as easy to get again.
It is recommended that vehicles be cleaned and vacuumed regularly to reduce chances of a bed bug or bedbug eggs making it's way into the home or dwelling. Bedbug eggs are sticky, tacky and are easily introduced by accident on clothing, shoes, bags, back packs and so on. Bed Bug Removal, Thermal Remediation Heat Treatments
Bed Bugs,
These parasitic pests infest you're home, you're furniture, you're bed, you're belongings... They bite and feed on you, you're family and even pets. They usually go unnoticed at first biting periodically till the population grows. The 1st stage instar nymphs are so small they are hard to see. About the size of a ball in a ballpoint pen. They grow from this size feeding between molting till they reach the 5th stage which then makes them reproductive. The female bedbug can lay hundreds of eggs. These eggs can be laid in many places. Sleeping in a different room only spreads the bed bugs as they trail carbon dioxide and are able to crawl about 20 feet in any given 24 hour period. The eggs are sticky, tacky and can travel on you, on shoes. on clothing, in bags, and in so many other ways making them spread bye the host. These pests are parasitic vampires and the difficulty in dealing with them is getting tougher and tougher.
Numerous studies are now finding bed bug resistance to pyretheroids and neonicatoids, the most commonly used chemical combinations of insecticides used to eradicate bed bugs. These pests area already hard to get rid of but resistant bed bugs make it even tougher.
We personally talk to people daily about bedbugs and with many already having spent hundreds of dollars trying to deal with these pests themselves. Some have even hired pest control operators, companies to deal with the bedbugs but chemical resistance is growing and not all pest control operators are equal in the quality of work provided and use of pesticides. Of course the biggest problem is people themselves. Here is a list of a few reasons why somebody may get or have bedbugs after a treatment.
1) Bedbugs reintroduced unknowingly into the structure
2) Possible bed bug issue at work or place of business
3) Bedbug problem spread to vehicle
4) They know somebody that has bed bugs and visit each other
5) The home was not properly prepared for treatment, clutter, debree
6) A portion of the bedbug population has become chemical resistance
Of course many other factors could be the cause but these a few of the common reasons.
At EnviroTech we recommend dealing with this pest problem sooner rather than later. It only get's worse putting it off. Heat kills bed bugs and we offer this service. Introducing to the structure the use of a process called thermal remediation or heat kills bedbugs and bed bug eggs. Chemicals can be used sparingly for a residual and placed in strategic places rather than everywhere keeping toxic chemical use at a minimum.
The thermal eradication treatment for bed bugs can take hours to all day depending on a number of factors such as structure size and layout. The home must be vacated for the day of treatment but you'll be glad to know you can stay in the home that evening. Our services are offered to the Tulsa metro area including Broken Arrow, Bixby, Coweta, Jenks and other local area communities. EnviroTech Exterminating wants to be you're exterminator of choice. Call us at (918) 282-7621 for a free estimate. Visit us online for more information on Bed Bug Removal services.

EnviroTech Exterminating Bed Bug Heat Treatment
EnviroTech Exterminating Bed Bug Heat Treatment. Serving Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and the metro Tulsa area
A horrible trend has been occurring locally with bedbug infestations. I personally have seen a rise in the number of bed bug cases in Tulsa and the surrounding area and this trend can be blamed on a number of factors. Some factors include people moving from homes or apartments with bedbugs to other properties thus spreading this pest to the new home. They can be also spread via people that have them accidentally leaving eggs or even live bedbugs at a movie theater, favorite place to eat, a library, a school... All places where human activity is present can potentially get bed bugs.
So, what can you do to protect your home or business from getting bed bugs in the first place? Well, there is no real preventative measure that will insure you don't get these pests. All you can really do is be proactive in minimizing the chances. How do you do this? Well, first you must not spend time in places that you know have bedbugs. Now, we know that in most cases you will not know if somebody or a place has bedbugs but staying away from hoes that do is a good start. Look for signs of bed bug activity, spotting on chairs, mattresses, bed frames, or even seeing live bedbugs on the walls or crawling on a bed. If you see these things that's pretty much all the evidence you need to stay away from where you see them.
Don't buy used furniture without inspecting the furniture first. Used mattresses and boxsprings are not a good idea. If you even think bedbugs might be present do not sit down or rub up against the furniture. Have regular pest control services done at you're home or business. This will not stop a bedbug infestation but it sure could help by putting a layer of protection down to reduce the chances of bedbugs even making it. Keep in mind, bedbugs usually come in on the body, on clothing or on something you bring into the home. Bedbugs are introduced into a structure usually by people visiting, working or living in the structure.
What treatment options are available to deal with bed bug pest problems?
You have a few options available here.
First, you can study this pest, learn all about them and their life cycle and do you're own pest control services. This way for the vast majority of people does not work out. In the end they usually have spent a great deal of money on pest control products and time with little to no control of the bed bugs.
Hire a professional to treat the bed bug problem with pesticides: You can have a professional pest control operator do a chemical treatment. This could be like gambling. If the operator knows what they are doing, has done many of these treatments you can get them under control this way in light to mild infestations. It however may require a series of pest control applications and these treatments require pesticides to be placed all over the structure. It's not the same as a general pest control treatment service and the costs of chemical treatments can vary. Once done the costs could be higher then a heat treatment as multiple services may be needed. This may also require vacating the property for the night to allow the chemicals to dry before re-entry to the home or structure. A usually the bedbugs are not all killed or gone at the time of service.
Hire a professional to do a heat treatment service: Heat is a known killer of bedbugs. A professionally done heat treatment can eradicate bedbugs. This likely is the quickest way of getting relief and requires the least amount of follow-up work. Success rates are far higher of success with heat over just chemical.
Freezing the bedbugs: This may work to kill some bedbugs but it does not get cold enough in Oklahoma for a long enough period of time. Bedbugs are frozen with freeze machines but this may be better suited for localized areas of a known infestation and leaves much to risk.
Steam: Steam kills bedbugs but this like freezing them might be better suited as a part of a bedbug control plan.
Chemical and Heat Treatment: This provides both fast relief from bedbugs and a residual in place just in case. It also is nice if you have concerns that bedbugs have been spread to you're vehicle.
So what's next? Well, obviously you need to first inquire about a bedbug treatment, set the appointment and get the home ready. EnviroTech Exterminating offers Heat and or Chemical Treatment Services. We even offer a totally green service available with our heat treatment if desired for additional protection. We can customize you're service to meet the needs of you're unique situation because every infestation is different and every household is different. Visit Bed Bug Control Services for more information. Our local service area include Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, Owasso but with bed bug treatments we do offer services to areas such as Haskell, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Skiatook, Pryor. A nominal trip charge may be accessed for areas outside the local treatment area. Call EnviroTech and get a Bed Bug Preparations Sheet emailed so you can get your structure ready for service.

Fall Pests Cause Pest Control Problems
Fall is here and the pests will cause pest control problems
With fall and cooler weather all sorts of pests from rodents to spiders are looking to find a warm, cozy home to shack up in. This can be a residential home or a commercial business. These pests do not care which one as long as they have their needs met. After all, nobody wants to be out in the cold when they could easily find an entry point to get in.
So, what do you need to do in fall to prepare for these pests? In Oklahoma we have weather that can change from one minute to the next so it could be 60 degree's today and 30 degree's tomorrow. This makes the homes look like paradise to a mouse or spider. Typically a home or business can have dozens of easy access points for these types of pests to enter. You have weep holes, soffit, garage doors without good seals, rotted trim, rotted garage framing and cracks and gaps in siding, brick and other types of holes, access points all around the home. We recommend dealing with these security problems so spiders and rodents don't take advantage of you.
As the weather gets colder, more and more of these pests will enter. You need a plan in place to minimize their ability to stay. After all, rodents leave feces and urine just about everywhere they go. Mice are known carriers/vectors of disease.
EnviroTech services the Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and Coweta metro area's. We are locally owned and operated and love helping good people with their pest problems. If you have a need for pest control services then look no further. Check our website out at Pest Control for more information on EnviroTech Exterminating.

Termite Activity Still High in Broken Arrow
Termite Activity Still High in Broken Arrow
It seems that with all the rains we had this summer termite activity is still high in the Broken Arrow metro areas. A number of calls have been coming in for termites this fall when activity for these pests drops in fall. The typical termite season runs from about mid February through July then this tapers off in August as the rains have ended and things dry up. We had one of the wettest August months in many years and this continued into September which means a higher water tables and moist soil.
Termites are nothing new to Broken Arrow as we live in a very high activity zone. These pests are responsible for billions of dollars each year in damages to homes. This is why EnviroTech Exterminating suggests homeowners have yearly termite inspections done. If you have a termite concern please visit Termite Services for more information or call (918) 282-7621 to speak to our representatives about your unique pest termite issue.

Bed Bug's on the Rise in Tulsa
Bed Bug's on the rise in Tulsa
Bedbug problems are fairly common now in Tulsa. These pests are known to hitch hike from place to place meaning you can pick them up just about anywhere. That evening dinner at you're favorite restaurant could be the same place somebody just visited that has bedbugs, thus leaving a bed bug egg or even live bedbug for you to sit on next. This same scenario could happen at the movies, the library, the laundry mat or even at somebody's home that you know.
For the most part bedbugs go unnoticed at first. The pests trail carbon dioxide to once introduced into you're household they will only take a short amount of time to find you sleeping in you're bed or on the couch. Bedbugs are then easy to spread throughout the home as they leave the eggs in a number of places. The bed bug egg is sticky, tacky to the touch so they stick to you're body or clothing making spreading them highly likely. This is why they are spreading so rapidly in the Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Jenks and Bixby area. Really no place is safe... Bedbugs do not care about social economics they only care about one thing, blood.
Bed Bug activity in the Tulsa area has increased dramatically over the last 3-5 years. Every day somebody new finds out they have bedbugs. Though they can be treated for they are difficult to eradicate. Some reasons they can be difficult is that they thrive in clutter, leave eggs in a number of hard to get to places and are excellent at hiding. Although somebody with a good plan can do treatment themselves the percentage of successful people going it alone is very low.
EnviroTech offer's a variety of treatment options for our clients based on a number of individual circumstances. If you are dealing with a bed bug problem and need a Bed Bug Treatment please visit us online by clicking Bed Bug Control or call (918) 282-7621 to talk about you're unique situation.
We offer Green Heat Treatment, Green Chemical as well as Chemical Treatment Options.

Pest Control Broken Arrow
Pest Control Broken Arrow
With the heavy rains we have endured in the local area pests are in high numbers. Ants seem to be the #1 problem currently with Spiders a close #2. With such huge amount of rain these pests are seeking shelter from all the water flooding their nests and dispersing food. Many of these pests are working into residential homes and commercial businesses.
We have seen a steady number of calls for ants and spiders here lately. The best service is an outside perimeter treatment to reduce the number of ants in the area so they are less invasive. Spiders can also be controlled with a perimeter treatment. Our recommendation is to have the home or business treated regularly on a bi-monthly or quarterly service interval. The time frame really depends on the number of pests in you're general area or the level of infestation you have.
EnviroTech Exterminating offers first time customers a $25.00 discount off the initial pest control service with no contract. Why would we offer our pest control services with no contract? Well, let's just say we are confident that you will be satisfied with our service that you will use EnviroTech for all pest control needs. Locking you into a contract is not needed. Pigeons although they look harmless are responsible for contaminating billions of dollars in food and raw material each and every year. Termite Swarmers are Active in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Termite Swarmers are Active in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
The number of calls for Termites has spiked as of this week. We are seeing a number of homes with termite swarmers also called Alates. These termites are reproductive termites and when you have a swarm it's an indicator that you have termites. If they are found outside It could also mean somebody near you has termites and they have now spread to your home or business.
So what does a termite swarmer or Alate look like? Well, they have white/clear wings that are thin and these wings fall off relatively fast. The termite itself will be darker in color and have a body that is relatively the same width from head to the end of their body.
Termites are sometimes confused for being ants but they are nothing like their ant cousins. Ant's are more segmented and have a clear break or joint between the head, body and end. Even though we are talking termites here ants can be just as destructive as termites. Carpenter Ants do damage to structures just like termites do. We can assist with both of these pests.
With spring here and more humidity the swarmers are very active. These termite colonies are spreading to start new colonies. Treatment is absolutely necessary and if termite control is what you are needing please call EnviroTech at (918) 282-7621 for a Free Estimate. EnviroTech is locally owned and operated in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and offers a wide range of pest services from termite inspections, green pest control to nuisance wildlife removal for the Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby metro area. Nuisance Wildlife Removal Services Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Oklahoma
Nuisance Wildlife Removal Services Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Oklahoma
This week I had the opportunity to help some folks that called with an animal stuck in there wall. Upon arrival I found an opening that had been chewed out by squirrels in the soffit of the home. The animal in the wall however was located along the inside wall of the garage about 15' from this opening. Since squirrels are such good climbers I had my doubts that it was a squirrel stuck in the wall unless it was a baby squirrel.
This home had no access to the attic space as the entry had been blocked off by the electronic garage door equipment so getting inside was not going to happen. We did however take a sheetrock knife and cut a small 3" x 3" hole in the garage side of the wall where the noise was coming from. Once the piece cut was removed a smaller sized sparrow poked it's head out the hole and just looked at us. The bird starred for about 10 seconds before it jumped up on the side of the opening and then flew away. I could tell by the smile on the bird that it was happy to be free :)
Needless to say a baby squirrel was found in the hot water tank closet in the garage. This squirrel was not injured, she had just fallen out of the attic space. I wanted to reunite the squirrel with it's mother but It could take literally days to reunite her with her mother due to the lack of access and the risk of her falling 5' if we just put her back in the 3 inch opening that was available in the closet. The baby squirrel also risked life from dehydration so we needed to act fast to assure this baby squirrel would have the highest possible chance for survival. I contacted a wildlife rehabilitation facility in Foil, Oklahoma called Wild Heart Ranch. The people at the ranch were very pleasant and understood the need for this animal to have a place to go and asked that I bring her in.
Once I arrived at the ranch I was given a tour of the facility and got to meet many of the wildlife animals they care for. Our baby squirrel was immediately cared for and fed. She was placed with three other squirrels that were about her age. I said goodbye to the baby squirrel knowing she was in good hands. The ranch that took her in takes donations in order to run and they help hundreds of animals that wouldn't have a chance without this help. Anybody that looks to make a donation should consider donating to this rehabilitation facility that helps these animals with such care. You can find their website at http://www.wildheartranch.org

Natural, Green Pest Control Services
Natural, Green Pest Control Services

Today I want to take a moment to talk about some of the reasons why a customer chooses to use our natural, green pest control services.
Every day we as Americans are bombarded with toxins. We eat foods treated with pesticides and drink water treated with chemicals. With population growth comes higher food demands. As a country, a world with a growing population the demands for more food and clean water require more chemicals and pesticides. We need food that we grow to produce faster and more resistant to insects so it's not ruined. All these human induced pressures means we must use more pesticides and usable potable water from places that we may not have been treating in the first place.
Sewage water is being treated in places to irrigate golf courses, and other land due to water shortage issues. Desalination plants are becoming more and more popular as a means of treating sea water. The truth is as more people populate the globe more methods of maintaining these populations are necessary thus the need for more chemical and pesticides to produce larger crops to feed the masses, water to keep a growing population alive.
With all the toxins we are subjected to daily it's not a bad idea to consider using green pesticides rather than synthetic pesticides in your home. I'm not going to tell you one is better than the other as they both do their job. With a proper Integrated Pest Management "IPM" program you may find that you're business, home doesn't need the highly toxic pesticides and can use something more natural or greener.
Some circumstances where you may want to use a green pesticide over a synthetic:
1) You have customers in and out that may smell the synthetic pesticides. I've been to restaurants with my family, walked in the door and almost been knocked down by the smell of synthetic pesticides. I knew from the smell of the pesticide that they just had a roach treatment recently. The smells were strong and we decided to go eat somewhere else.
2) You are concerned that your employees/family may have allergies to synthetic pesticides. Many people have allergies or even asthma.
3) You have young children in you're household. Babies that are at crawling stage constantly put their fingers in their mouths. Less Toxic pesticides are better then more Toxic pesticides in this situation.
4) You don't have a serious pest problem and want the least amount of toxins but still want to reduce pest populations and keep them under control. There truly may be no need for a synthetic pesticide in your unique situation.
One thing I want to make sure people understand is Green may not necessarily mean Organic. An Organic pesticide may be made of things like mint oils, garlic, neem oil and other essential oils. A Green pesticide may be made of a pyrethrin. The product of a plant that most pesticides are made from. It attacks the nerve center of insects. Most synthetic pesticides are derived from taking this pyrethrin and synthesizing it to make a pyrethroid.
Hopefully this blog posting gives you at least some insight on why you may be better off using green pest control services rather then using a synthetic. If you are a residential property owner or business owner/manager that is interested in a Green IPM Service please feel free to call us at (918) 282-7621 to schedule an appointment. I'd be happy to help... For more on our services visit us at Pest Control Services today. EnviroTech services the Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby metro area and is locally owned and operated.

Mole and Gopher Services in Broken Arrow, Jenks & Bixby, OK
Mole and Gopher Services in Broken Arrow, Jenks & Bixby, Oklahoma.
You know moles and gophers are destructive little pests. They thrive where food sources are plentiful. Ever notice as you're driving down the road all the mounds of dirt in clusters from these critters? Moles and gophers are active year round so you will see these mounds regardless of the time of year. They can be destructive to a yard since gophers eat roots and the moles leave tunnels in the soil.
So, why do you have moles or gophers? Well, moles chase after things like earth worms and grubs. They can sense, detect these creatures in soil so moles will follow them around depleting them and moving. This is why a neighborhood that has them will see yard after yard infested with these pests. Once they deplete the food in a yard they just move next door and then back and forth.
Gophers love roots so if you plant a garden, spend time working in the yard planting flowers, plants and so forth then gophers could be a problem. Gophers differ from moles in many ways. They are after different foods, moles are gophers look nothing alike and gophers tunnel deep into soil where moles prefer the area closer to the surface where their food is easily found and the soil easier to tunnel through. Gophers can dig deep in the soil and may have living quarters a few feet down.
So what do we do about these pests? First thing I always look at is the soil types that we are finding these animals in. If you live in the souther parts of Broken Arrow, Jenks or Bixby then it's likely you may have sandy loam soil. This soil is found in area's closer to the Arkansas River. These animals thrive in sandy loam soil types. If you start going north the soil changes to more of a mix and then to other soil types which can be harder to tunnel through for these animals. They don't prefer clay nearly as much as sandy loam. I would say this is likely the reason Jenks, Bixby and Broken Arrow tend to have more issues with moles then I see in the north eastern cities.
We can of course trap them, which helps but may not be a total solution since they migrate and move around. Once you do this you may just be inviting you're neighbor's moles over to take control of the areas you just cleared. They can be poisoned but once again you may end up just seeing more move in because of the competition being removed. They can be smoked out with products that kill them but once again it may not be a total solution. They can be driven out with products that make what they eat taste horrible but yet this may not be a total solution. The truth is that nothing is a total solution for these animals because they are pests that migrate. Most people will tend to have moles or gophers because of where they live. It's kind of like having ants every spring... It just happens.
EnviroTech can help by looking at your unique situation and determining what may work best for the area, place, soil type you may have. Sometimes the best thing is a combination of methods. Sometimes depending on what's around you only one method is needed. I would recommend scheduling an appointment to find out what may be the best way to help your mole/gopher problem.
No matter what you decide to do about these pests I hope this page at least helps you to understand these animals better.
You can visit Mole and Gopher Control for more information or call us at (918) 282-7621 to schedule an appointment.

Termite Inspection, Termite Treatment and Control in Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma
Termite Inspection, Termite Treatment and Control Services in Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma.
By: EnviroTech Exterminating
With it now almost mid February it's time to start thinking about termites. Soon with temperatures rising and the humidity rising, termites will begin swarming. A termite swarm happens when a healthy colony of termites have grown to a large enough colony that the termites separate to form additional colonies. They usually don't make it to far as termites are not the best of flyers and they lose their wings relatively fast.

Termites found under hot water tank |
When you buy a home most lenders require the home to be inspected for wood destroying organisms. This inspection is called a ODAFF1. The lender doesn't like to loan money on a home with active termites so they request this inspection. Lenders will happily loan the money on a home that is treated for termites but usually won't fund the purchase until proof of treatment has been provided. If termites are found and treatment is then provided the lender will require proof and at that time usually fund the purchase pending any other issues.
EnviroTech Exterminating offers wood destroying organism reports or inspections for clients in the process of purchasing a home. If termite activity is found a proposal for treatment can be provided at no additional cost. For those that already own their home EnviroTech does provide services to help protect the home from termite pests. Call (918) 282-7621 today to request an appointment. You can also visit Termite Control for more information about our termite inspection and treatment services.

Nuisance Wildlife Removal Services in Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma
Nuisance Wildlife Removal Services in Broken Arrow, Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma
With winter soon turning to spring problem wildlife pests will begin having babies. This could be a problem if you have these wild animals living in your attic or crawl space. Some of the animals you need to be concerned and worried about are the grey squirrel, the raccoon, the opossum and of course skunks.
Squirrels chew wiring and ruin facia, soffit on the home. Raccoons urinate and leave their feces in large piles on the sheetrock between the ceiling joists. These piles are moist, carry possible disease and pathogens. The feces and urine is absorbed into the sheetrock and ruins it. If the raccoons are left in the attic space it will in a relatively quick manner turn into a family of raccoons and the amount of fecal matter and urine becomes more then the ceilings can hold and these animals will fall through the ceiling crashing into your bedroom, living room or whatever room they were nesting above.
Skunks are a problem due to an awful smell that comes from a gland in their anus. Once they spray the smell can be so strong that you cannot live or stay in the home. The smell will penetrate through walls, clothing, the beds and any other porous items in the home. Skunks dig around the structure to build nests. Sometimes they will enter crawl spaces or dig under the slab of a home. They need removed before they become a problem.
Opossums live in and around structures as well. They eat about anything they can find. These wildlife pests will go through the trash just like a dog or a raccoon will do. Opossums need removed from the property before they get stuck inside the walls or in the attic. They smell bad, they also can bite if handled.
Regardless of the pest you have living in your home, it needs removed. For more about wildlife pests visit us online at Nuisance Wildlife Pests

Pest Control Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Pest Control Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Got an amazing call today from a couple in Broken Arrow that had a Opossum hung up on the fence. They thought it's leg was stuck between the boards on the fence but it turned out to be his personal parts. We saved this opossum from certain death. With winter in full swing pests such as these are looking for warm places to hold up for the winter. This animal was likely looking at his options when this horrible accident occurred. He's a very lucky Opossum that we got there when we did.
So, with this being said, springtime is only 7-9 weeks away. Once the weather starts to warm up any pests that have moved in such as squirrels, opossum, raccoon will begin having babies. I want to recommend that anybody reading this do an inspection of their home and make sure no animals have eaten the way into the attic space. Once these nuisance pests have established a home in you're home the smell attracts other wildlife.
Pests are soon to be a problem again. With only 8 or so weeks to springtime bugs will be in full force. The best time to have your treatment is just before the spring rains. Ant's, Spiders and other creepy crawly pests will be invading garages, homes and doing what they do. Termites will also be active with the first swarms coming soon.

Crawl Spaces and Pest Control
Crawl Spaces and Pest Control
Did you know that moisture in crawl spaces can potentially hurt you're home? Yes, crawl spaces can potentially be a bad thing if moisture is present and not properly leaving the crawl space. Moisture in a crawl space can provide a perfect habitat for many potentially bad things such as molds, fungi and numerous insects. In cases where the ground in a crawl seems moist or wet most of the time an inspection for leaks and proper drainage may be needed. Most moisture issues in a crawl space can be corrected.
A moisture barrier is a must in moist crawl spaces to help reduce or minimize the growth of fungi and molds. In many cases if the crawl is wet a Vapor Barrier will be called for my the inspecting termite company as the vapor barrier can help reduce the possibilities of these wood destroying organisms.
We recommend that the crawl space door be sealed completely, the vents in the stemwall of the crawl space be opened to allow proper air circulation which should help with evaporation of moisture in the crawl space. It also keeps a good flow of air circulating to help reduce that stagnant smell so many crawl spaces tend to have.
How does all this have anything to do with pest control? Well, pests thrive in moist environments so by reducing the moisture in a crawl space you can help reduce the number of insect pests and animal pest that may consider the crawl space home. This will also help to reduce pests that may be getting inside the home.
Make sure you have a crawl space door/entry that is well sealed and keep in maintained. This will help reduce pests from gaining access to the crawlspace. Click link for more on pest control services .
